How do I make sure your rings fit my finger size?
All of my spinner rings are considered "comfort fit" and whatever size your finger is measured at is the size you will order. If you are ordering one of my flat inside rings, such as the 'Rising Sun' or the 'Titan' Ring, then I suggest ordering a half size larger.
I sell a plastic ring sizing kit that you can use to determine your ring size. I prefer that you have your finger properly sized at your local jewelry store but this is an alternative that works okay. I have found that these sizers are about 1/4 size too small so make sure to add a 1/4 size when you order with the plastic sizers. Here is the link to purchase a kit.
If you are an international customer, here is an international ring sizing chart to help you determine your ring size in it's corresponding US size.
I've purchased this beautiful ring and it doesn't fit! Now what?
I recommend finding out your ring size prior to ordering as there is a charge for ring re-sizings (starting at $20.) If for whatever reason you do need your ring re-sized, please contact me and let me know you are sending it back and I will let you know the exact re-sizing charge. You can either send a check for that amount with the ring or I can send you an email invoice. Re-sizing of my ring designs start at $20 with most of my spinner rings range from $20-30 to re-size, with my stone set designs ranging from $30-50 to re-size.
To return a ring for re-sizing follow these steps:
1. Log in, then go to My Account.
2. Go to Completed Orders, then click Return Item(s) next to your item.
3. Fill out the return request.
4. Click Submit Return Request.
You can send the ring back to me at:

Please send a note with the ring stating the new size when you mail it and ship the ring in the same type of packaging that you received it in, as well as make sure that it is postage paid and properly tracked and insured.
What are your policies on returns, exchanges and repairs?
I stand by my jewelry. If an item ever breaks due to a manufacturing defect, I will repair or replace it at no charge for up to three years after your purchase date. Simply place it in a padded envelope and(or) box and ship it via an insured and trackable method. Please note that this does not include general wear & tear or broken or cracked stones.
Please note that we are not responsible for lost or stolen items once declared 'Delivered' by the delivery service. We are unable to accept any returned items that have been altered by a third party jeweler.
If you receive an item that you are not satisfied with, return it within 14 days of delivery and I will give you a 100% refund on your purchase (minus shipping). Any piece containing 14k gold as part of the design will be subject to a 20% restocking fee if returned. After 14 days, refunds or exchanges will be at the discretion of Stones Throw Studio. Please contact me with any questions about this.
If you have a reaction to the tarnish resistant sterling silver that I use in all of my designs I will replace with the same item in traditional sterling silver at no charge.
All returns must be in new, unworn condition.
If a customer will be ordering multiple rings to try on for size or style, there will be a 20% restocking fee for the returned rings.
Custom-designed pieces, pieces personalized with text stamping and/ or sale items are *final sale* and cannot be returned.
I will issue your refund as soon as I receive the returned ring in the mail. Please ship returns back to me via a trackable and (if possible) insured method.
Do you warranty your work?
All of my designs are warrantied for product defects, so if you receive a piece that has a defect due to craftsmanship or materials, I will replace or repair it at no cost to you. Normal wear and abusive wear are not covered under my warranty.
Stones are warrantied for 6 months with free replacement if the stone falls out of the setting. Warranty does not cover stones that are broken because of rough wear but will cover stones that break because of a defect. If the setting becomes loose at any time I will tighten the stone at no charge. Customer is responsible if stone falls out of the setting in the interim.
Where do the stones and metals that you use in your work come from? Are they fairly sourced?
I purchase my stones from reputable sources locally (mainly local stone cutters) as well as from online sources that I trust and who can certify that their stones are conflict free and fairly sourced.
The metals that I use are from two different companies, one which is SCS Global certified to be 100% recycled and the other uses 85% recycled gold and the rest from American gold mines. If you would like this certification as part of a custom design please let me know and I will include that with the order.
Do you ship everywhere and who do you use to ship?
We can ship to virtually any address in the world and use USPS for all stateside shipping. If you would prefer to use UPS or FedEx to ship please let us know and we will send you a quote. Note that in some cases there are additional fees charged at delivery such as VAT (value added tax) in locations such as Great Britain, as well as customs fees which the customer is responsible for.
How do I care for my ring?
Over time your ring will dull from wear but it can be polished up with a jewelry polishing cloth. I use Klean Karets polishing cloths which you can find on Amazon, but any brand will do. If you order a stone set ring and the stone starts to dull from dirt and grime, you can clean the ring with warm water, a few drops of household ammonia and a few drops of dishwashing liquid. I would use this solution with an old toothbrush to clean the ring followed by a polish with the cloth.
Do you gift wrap?
All of my rings are packaged as if they were a gift to someone. They are tied with raffia to a paper backing stamped with my logo, placed in a tarnish resistant plastic bag, sealed with my logo sticker and placed in a kraft box that is wrapped in a nice bow. I can include a personalized note from you to the recipient, just let me know what you would like to say in the note section when you place your order. I do offer a nice ring box as well (for an additional cost) and these can be selected in the cart at checkout.
How do I request a custom or personalized order?
You can request a custom order by sending me a message from my "Contact Us/Custom Order" page. I will work with you through email conversations to design a piece just for you, and you will get a feel for the design through sketches as well as work-in-progress pictures. I can also personalize the inside of the ring with a custom stamping which you can select by ordering the "Custom Inside Ring Stamping" listing when you place the order for your ring or have the ring engraved locally for an additional $50. If you would like this option please email me and I will add that to your ring order.
