Frequently Asked Questions
HOW DO I MAKE SURE YOUR RINGS FIT MY FINGER SIZE?
All of my spinner rings are considered "comfort fit" and whatever size your finger is measured at is the size you will order. If you are ordering one of my flat inside rings then I suggest ordering a half size larger.
I sell a plastic ring sizing kit that you can use to determine your ring size. I prefer that you have your finger properly sized at your local jewelry store but this is an alternative that works okay. I have found that these sizers are about 1/4 size too small so make sure to add a 1/4 size when you order with the plastic sizer. Here is the link to purchase a kit: Plastic Ring Sizer
If you are an international customer, here is an international ring sizing chart to help you determine your ring size in its corresponding US size.

I'VE PURCHASED THIS BEAUTIFUL RING AND IT DOESN'T FIT! NOW WHAT?
I recommend finding out your ring size prior to ordering as there is a charge for ring re-sizings (starting at $20.) If for whatever reason you do need your ring re-sized, please contact me and let me know you are sending it back and I will let you know the exact re-sizing charge. You can either send a check for that amount with the ring or I can send you an email invoice. Re-sizing of my ring designs start at $20 with most of my spinner rings ranging from $20-30 to re-size and my stone set designs ranging from $30-50 to re-size.
To return a ring for re-sizing follow these steps:
1) Contact me at kyle@stonesthrowjewelry.com to find out what the ring resize fee will be.
2) Mail the ring back to me (along with cash or a check made out to Stones Throw Studio) to:
Stones Throw Studio
5247 Meadow Creek Dr
Austin, Tx 78745
And please send a note with the ring stating the new size when you mail it and ship the ring in the same type of packaging that you received it in, as well as make sure that it is postage paid and properly tracked and insured.

WHERE DO THE STONES AND METALS THAT YOU USE IN YOUR WORK COME FROM? ARE THEY FAIRLY SOURCED?
I purchase my stones from reputable sources locally (mainly local stone cutters) as well as from online sources that I trust and who can certify that their stones are conflict free and fairly sourced.
The metals that I use are from two different companies, one which is SCS Global certified to be 100% recycled and the other uses 85% recycled gold and the rest from American gold mines. If you would like this certification as part of a custom design please let me know and I will include that with the order.

DO YOU SHIP EVERYWHERE AND WHO DO YOU USE TO SHIP?
We can ship to virtually any address in the world and use USPS for all stateside shipping. If you would prefer to use UPS or FedEx to ship please let us know and we will send you a quote. Note that in some cases there are additional fees charged at delivery such as VAT (value added tax) in locations such as Great Britain, as well as customs fees which the customer is responsible for.
DO YOU GIFT WRAP?
All of my rings are packaged as if they were a gift to someone. They are tied with a ribbon to a paper backing stamped with my logo, placed in a tarnish resistant plastic bag, sealed with my logo sticker, and placed in an acid-free kraft box that is wrapped in a nice bow. I can include a personalized note from you to the recipient, just let me know what you would like to say in the note section when you place your order. I do offer a nice ring box as well (for an additional cost) and these can be selected in the cart at checkout.
HOW DO I REQUEST A CUSTOM OR PERSONALIZED ORDER?
You can book a studio appointment to discuss a custom design with me here: Book Studio Appointment
I can also work with you through email conversations or a telephone call to design a piece just for you, and you will get a feel for the design through sketches as well as work-in-progress pictures. Here is a link to more information: The Design Process
I also offer the option to personalize the inside of the ring with a custom stamping which is included as an option in all ring listings that are applicable.

HOW DO I CARE FOR MY RING?
Over time your ring may dull from wear but it can be polished up with a jewelry polishing cloth. I use Klean Karets polishing cloths which you can find on Amazon, but any brand will do. If you order a stone set ring and the stone starts to dull from dirt and grime, you can clean the ring with warm water, a few drops of household ammonia and a few drops of dish washing liquid. I would use this solution with an old toothbrush to clean the ring followed by a polish with the cloth.
