Cat Earrings

Cats self-domesticated with humans many thousands of years ago because we had a mutually beneficial relationship: they get free food and we get pest control. In ancient Egypt, they were associated with the goddesses Isis (associated with motherhood, mourning, and magical healing, linked also to pharaohs and kingship) and Bastet (protector of the king associated with childbirth, protection from evil and contagious disease and often depicted with a cat head).

Part of my Spirit Animal collection, these cat earrings are a minimalist take on a classic furry feline face. They are handmade in tarnish resistant sterling silver and are available in high shine or dark patina. Each pair has a sterling silver post and comes with rubber push backs.
